2. What we collect

Account information. Name, work email, organization name, and a hashed password when you create an account. We never store passwords in readable form.

Service data you upload. Service line inventories, obligation records, documents, and related material your water system enters into the application. This can include resident service addresses. We process this data on your system’s behalf; your system owns and controls it.

Operational logs. Standard technical logs — IP address, timestamps, and requested pages — kept for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Sensitive values such as email-verification tokens are redacted from logs.

Messages you send us. If you submit the demo-request form or email admin@linecomply.com, we receive what you send, and use it to respond.

3. What we use it for

To provide, secure, and support the Service; to respond to your requests; to send operational messages such as email-verification links and invoices; and to meet legal obligations. That’s the list. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies

The application uses a single essential session cookie so you can stay signed in. The marketing site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

5. Who else touches the data

We use a small set of infrastructure providers under contract to run the Service: cloud application hosting and website hosting in the United States, an email delivery provider for operational messages, and a form-relay provider for demo requests submitted on the website. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us. We do not otherwise share personal information, except if required by law — in which case we will notify you where legally permitted.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit; passwords are stored using a modern hashing algorithm; each customer’s data is isolated per organization; and we keep routine backups. No system is perfectly secure, but if we become aware of a confirmed unauthorized disclosure of your data we will notify you without undue delay.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and service data while your account is active. On termination, we delete your data from the production system within 30 days of your written request; backup copies are removed on the normal backup rotation. Operational logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

You can export your data from the application at any time, correct your account information, and request access to or deletion of personal information by emailing admin@linecomply.com. We honor rights available to you under applicable state privacy laws.

9. Residents of your community

If your address appears in a water system’s service line inventory hosted on LineComply, that data was collected by your water utility, which is responsible for it; we process it on the utility’s behalf. Questions about it should go to your utility, and we will assist the utility in fulfilling any request.

10. Children

The Service is a business tool for water utilities and is not directed to children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version lives at this page with its effective date above. For material changes we will notify account holders by email.
